Sister Alma or Majeeda is a success story in the world of guidance and the path of righteousness. She was brought up in her native country of the philipines as a Christian and always felt a little scared of the Islamic religion having witnessed the negative stigma that surrounded the Islamic groups near her home town.

 

But soon after getting married and relocating to Bahrain, she had the chance to take a deeper look into the Islamic philosophy and the school of the holy household in particular. The Islamic Awareness Centre was the suitable forum for her to get to know this religion through the teaching of the infallible imams and discover the hidden treasures in their principles and teachings.

 

Yet it wasn't until the birth of lady Fatima (A.S) that sister Alma had finally decided to embrace Islam and pronounce the Shahada in front of many visitors at the Matam in which the ceremony took place and she couldn't hide her joy and flowing tears as scores of people started flocking to congratulate her on this blessed step.

 

Sister Majeeda's speech is a true inspiration for all of us and a sweet reminder of the beauty of the light of the holy household. Her speech was a glamorous addition and an amazing reflection of a soul touched by the light of the household.
